I have been a coaching member with Skate Canada since 1991 -  teaching levels of skating from Pre-CanSkate to Adult, Preliminary to Gold Test.  I am currently a level one certified instructor with just a few tests to go for level two.  My own skating career took me to my Diamond Dances, Gold Skills (Seventh Figure) and Jr. Silver Freeskate.  Memorable moments as an athlete myself, are competing at numerous competitions and  performing in various exhibitions including the closing ceremonies of the 88 Olympics! As much as skating is my occupation, it is my absolute passion!  It is my hope that I can pass this on to those I teach.     The strengths and character I’ve learned through the sport of figure skating, both as athlete and coach, continue to shape my life - most recently in my new role as mother to twins Amy & Chase born in March 2008!

Here’s to another great year with the Olds Figure Skating Club.

I have been involved in the sport of figure skating all my life. I have loved coaching both as a  young Program Assistant, and now as a Skate Canada Professional Coach. I am currently working towards completing the requirements for my next phase of coaching. I am continuing to skate for myself, and work as an esthetician at Tangles Hair Studio & Day Spa. I live in Bowden with my husband and our Siberian Husky, Buddy. I am looking forward to a great season with the new and returning skaters!
