  • EMPLOYMENT:   The Olds Figure Skating Club is requiring a minimal NCCP Level 1 Coach to complement the existing coaching team to begin fall 2007.  Olds is located 85 km north of Calgary and 55 km South of Red Deer.  We are a progressive club of over 80 skaters and sake 3 days/week with 11 hours of ice.  Our skating season runs from Sept to April.  Interested applicants please send resume, including coaching qualifications, First Aid Certification and a Criminal Records check to:

  • Did you know about KidSport?
     
    This is a financial subsidy program assisting children to play sports.  Parents can download a form and fill it out and send it off to the address on the form. This program takes in all towns in the Mountain View County. Contact:  Pam Cameron  335-4133  Didsbury, AB.

  • Children's Fitness Tax Credit
     
    Starting January 1st, 2007 - the Government of Canada proposes to allow a non-refundable tax credit on eligible amounts of up to $500 paid by parents to register a child in an eligible program of physical activity.  Information from the federal government is posted on two websites.  This information is based on legislation that has been tabled in the House of Commons but that has not yet become law:
